Meet Swigie of Focus Record

In this exclusive interview, Focus Records fast rising star, Swigie talked to Dream Magic about his personal life and his next project

Can we meet you?

I am Oguntubo Samuel by name. My stage name is SWIGIE. I'm the last born of the family of, I was born in Lagos and grew up in Lagos, Shomolu prescily.

When was the first time you knew you wanted to do music?

I had always known I will do music from my childhood age, when I'll go in front of the class to sing the songs trending those days while I also act like the crooner of that particular song I was singing.

Have ever think of quitting music?

No. I had never thought of quitting music and I can never think of quitting music?

How exactly did you meet Focus Record CEO?

 I was chilling with my friends when I got a call from him saying "i would like to see you". After I was done with my friends, i met him and we had a deep talk.

What was your first thought when you were signed by Focus Record?

I thought deeper than anyone could think and i pray the good thoughts I had that day comes to reality.

Why Focus Record out of all record in the industry?

 There is this adage that says "a drop of water makes a mighty ocean". According to the CEO, focus record is still new but with aims and goals the record label had set in conjunction with the talent have got, I believe something great will be the result of our deal 

Are you planning to drop any single for this moment?

 Yes. I am planning to drop a new singles. The song is titled "CONFFESIONS".

What inspired the song?

Actually, I was walking home that night alone doing freestyles when the lyrics came to my mouth, I just had to keep repeating it until I got home to fine tone it, when I got home, I fine tone the freestyle then I got the chorus. It took me some time to write down the verses. So I will say God inspired the song because I never saw it coming.

How do you unwind?

I love listening to music, I unwind only when am able to take off that particular thing off my brain 

What's your plan for the next year?

I have a lot for next year... Collaboration from bigger artiste and probably we should be dropping a music video next year by God's grace. But for now we working on pushing out the anticipated hit song "CONFESSION"

Message to your fans?

My fans should never relent on supporting their favorite music boy "SWIGIE".

Have got a lot more them. SWIGIE is just getting started and they shouldn't forget that I care.
