In times part, it is almost abominable for the children of nobles to get married the children of common men. By this, they believed that their nobility will be sustained and there won't be a pollution of the noble blood. this arrangement however change in ooya, when love triumphed over class differences.
Ajayi and jolade could best be described as love birds but the class disparity between them almost dealt a blow on their love when chief, (jolade's father) insisted that his daughter will never marry ajayi but the prince. The lovers fled from their village only to be cursed by the chief ( jolade's father).
This problem was later to rear it's ugly head in the life of their first son jimisola when his fiance's father betrothed her to alimi.
Whereas, omolewa found genuine love in jimisola, her father would never hear of it. However, love triumphed in the end. When found true love in ariyike and even facilitated the reunion of jimisola and omolewa after the travails of jimisola and the deceit of the princess.
Love conquers all and braces all odds to achieve it's aim.
